The USAlert WatchDog LT Pager Programmer includes a programming fixture, a serial cable, a USB cable, a USB-to-Serial Adapter, driver software for the USB-to-Serial Adapter, and WatchDog LT programming software. The LT Programmer hardware can be used interchangeably with both WatchDog LT and USAlert WatchDog Pagers. LT Programmer software is compatible with later versions of the WatchDog Pager, but earlier versions of the WatchDog Pager must be programmed with a different software version.
The USAlert WatchDog LT Pager Battery Charger is built to recharge both a WatchDog LT Pager and a spare set of three NiMH (Nickel Metal Hydride) batteries, either separately or together. The LT Battery Charger is both a rapid charger and a smart charger, being able to detect voltage levels and adjust the charging rate accordingly. Rapid charging from a completely discharged state should take about 3-4 hours. A typical recharge time for moderately discharged batteries is about 2 hours. If the WatchDog LT Pager remains in service and is powered on while charging, the recharge time will be slightly longer due to current being drawn by the pager. USAlert WatchDog and WatchDog LT Pagers are both compatible with the LT Battery Charger.
The USAlert WatchDog LT Pager Charger with Antenna is meant to be used when the WatchDog LT Pager is recharging, is turned on, and the paging system signal strength may not be quite enough to alert the pager. Adding a local Antenna Assembly to the WatchDog LT Charger will improve the signal reception and should resolve the issue. The WatchDog LT Charger with Antenna is a standard WatchDog LT Charger with additional circuitry for routing the improved paging signal to the pager and a mounted BNC connector for attaching the Antenna and Antenna Cable to the Charger. Both USAlert WatchDog and WatchDog LT Pagers can be used interchangeably in the LT Charger with Antenna.
The USAlert Rechargeable Batteries for the WatchDog LT Pager consist of three individual “AAA” NiMH (Nickel Metal Hydride) cells and come standard with each WatchDog LT Pager. A rechargeable NiMH battery type is preferred for small electronic devices that require strong power and are used frequently. Although the NiMH batteries are rechargeable, their useful life decreases gradually over time. Battery performance may be reduced after 12-18 months of use, so replacing the batteries at regular intervals is strongly recommended. The WatchDog LT Rechargeable Batteries are rated at 1100 mA/hr and are typically shipped in packs of three. Lower capacity batteries or batteries of lesser quality have been found to create performance issues in the WatchDog LT Pager. Replacing the Rechargeable Batteries with new batteries of the same 1100 mA/hr capacity ensures continued pager operation at peak efficiency.
The USAlert WatchDog Pager Nylon Carrying Case is a durable and attractive option for wearing the WatchDog or WatchDog LT Voice Pagers. The Nylon Carrying Case has a flexible top flap that protects and covers the pager. This flap attaches to the front of the carrying case with a Velcro strip and holds the pager securely in place. Once a message is received, the Velcro connection can be easily detached and the pager removed from the case. Messages can also be heard without removing the pager from the case as it has an array of front side holes near the pager’s speaker to allow loud and clear audio to pass. A nylon rear flap is designed to be looped over a belt and snapped into place with its pair of metal fasteners.
The USAlert WatchDog LT Pager Belt Clip is a standard piece of the LT pager. Made of the same durable polycarbonate material as the housing, the Belt Clip is designed to attach securely to a belt and also allow the pager to be quickly and easily removed from the belt when receiving a message. With the inherent twisting and pulling forces the Belt Clip must handle, it will sometimes become damaged and need to be replaced. The detachable Belt Clip can be removed from the pager and a replacement ordered, no need to send back the entire pager for repair.
The USAlert WatchDog LT Pager Back Cover is a durable piece of black polycarbonate material that makes up the back side of the WatchDog LT housing. Back Covers are replaceable, so pagers need not be returned for repair. When assembling the WatchDog LT housing, the Back Cover slides into place from the bottom of the pager and is held in place with a metal screw. Two other parts of the housing attach to the Back Cover, the WatchDog LT Battery Cover and the WatchDog LT Belt Clip. These two parts are also replaceable.
The USAlert WatchDog LT Pager Battery Cover is a rugged black polycarbonate section of the WatchDog LT housing. Designed to hold the LT batteries in place and protect the battery compartment, the Battery Cover uses a metal fastening screw to attach to the back of the pager. Damage may sometimes occur to the Battery Cover by over-fastening the metal screw or by operational mishaps in extreme working conditions. Individual Battery Covers can be ordered and damaged units replaced without shipping the entire pager back for repair. The USAlert WatchDog LT Pager Battery Cover and the WatchDog Pager Battery Cover are the same size and are interchangeable.
