The Spok MAXPage is a stand-alone desktop transmitter for use in small to medium sized paging systems. Adjustable from 2 to 4 watts, the powerful transmitter is capable of covering an area of up to 1 mile. The MAXPage has a durable injection molded housing, contains a numeric keypad with 19 backlit silicon keys, and a 2-line by 16 character backlit LCD display. The transmitter is available in VHF or UHF frequency bands and POCSAG digital or 2-Tone voice coding formats. Messaging capability includes alphanumeric, numeric, tone only, and voice pages, depending upon system configuration.
The USAlert PeopleFinder II is a compact desktop, stand-alone transmitter that provides paging and 2-way radio communications for on-site systems. It supports up to 1000 pagers and has a built-in 2-way radio transceiver for monitoring the channel and communicating with portable and mobile 2-way radios. The transmitter is available in VHF or UHF frequency bands and can be configured for operation at 2 or 4 watt output power. Coding formats include the standard POCSAG scheme for digital pagers as well as an optional 2-Tone format for voice pagers. Encoder only models are available for situations where transmit only operation is desired.
