Alpha Legend Secure+ Pager
The Unication Alpha Legend Secure+ is a 4-Line Alphanumeric display pager available in VHF and UHF models. The synthesized POCSAG pager possesses all the capabilities of the Unication Alpha Elegant pager while adding security features to password lock and encrypt messages. The Alpha Legend Secure+ has 16 capcodes available with 64 POCSAG subaddresses, automatic channel spacing detection, and is powered by a single “AA” alkaline battery. A visual Battery Gauge indicator displays a graphical view of the battery’s energy status.
The 4-Line Alphanumeric display can be “zoomed” to a 2-Line display with vertically enlarged characters for easier message reading. Pager prompts are not enlarged in the zoom mode. In low-light conditions, an illuminated backlight can be accessed by pressing any of the pager buttons to also improve message reading capability.
The Legend Secure+ outputs a very loud 80 dB SPL alert tone, but can also be set for a silent alert. Six alert modes are available and include alert mode, alert and vibrate mode, vibrate then alert mode, vibrate mode, chirping mode, and silent mode. When set to an audible alert mode, there are sixteen alert patterns from which to choose. These include one standard alert, eight pleasing alerts, and seven urgent alerts. Two selectable vibrate alerts are continuous vibrate and interrupted vibrate. Two tone alerts are general tone and escalating tone.
A reminder alert can be set at desired intervals if a message has been received but not yet read. Selectively enabling or disabling message alerts to specific pagers or groups can be accomplished with the On/Off Duty feature.
Memory in the Alpha Legend Secure+ can store up to 19 personal messages. 10 of these messages can be locked, preventing them from being erased when memory is full. A personal message can contain up to 2025 characters. If a message is received that may have corrupt data, an Error Data Indicator is displayed. Identical messages received more than once result in a Duplicate Message indication at the beginning of the new message. An Out of Range indicator is displayed when the pager leaves the system transmitting area. The indicator is removed once the pager returns to the transmitting area.
Caution: When changing the alkaline battery, inserting the battery backwards into the pager will delete any stored or locked messages in memory.
